Jaap Sikkink is a third-generation cauliflower grower. His grandfather started the business about 70 years ago, cultivating various vegetables and tulips, but eventually cauliflower became the sole crop.

Today, the family business is run by Jaap and his parents, with additional seasonal workers helping during the harvest period. They are affiliated with Tolpoort Vegetables, an organization that manages sales and logistics, making the trading process more efficient. The company has been a member for many years, and that partnership has remained unchanged.

Besides being their work, the farm is also their passion. During the winter months things are quieter, and they enjoy ice skating. They regularly skate on the Weissensee in Austria during the alternative Elfstedentocht, which helps them stay in shape for the busy summer season.
