Tolpoort Vegetables strengthens its position in the open-field vegetable market with the addition of Fa. Gebr. Hoff & Zn
Tolpoort Vegetables is reinforcing its market position in open-field vegetables with the joining of Fa. Gebr. Hoff & Zn from Andijk. Through this collaboration, the combined cultivation area will increase by 75 hectares of cauliflower and 80 hectares of broccoli in the coming season—a total expansion of 155 hectares. This marks the next step in Tolpoort Vegetables’ growth strategy and further enhances the cooperative’s supply reliability for retail, export, and the processing industry.
Fa. Gebr. Hoff & Zn is a well-established family business with extensive experience in growing open-field vegetables. In addition, the company is active in tulip and peony cultivation. With their expertise, scale, and forward-looking vision, they form a valuable addition to the Tolpoort Vegetables growers’ collective. The geographical spread and increased scale within the cooperative further optimize continuity of supply.
Gian Russchen, Director of Tolpoort Vegetables:
“We are particularly proud to welcome the Hoff family. This family business fits perfectly within Tolpoort Vegetables’ broader growth strategy for open-field vegetables, where scale, quality, and future-oriented practices are central. With this expansion, we strengthen our supply reliability and consolidate our position in the market.”
The team from Andijk is equally enthusiastic about the collaboration:
“Up until last year, we managed the marketing and sales of our products ourselves. Joining Tolpoort Vegetables is therefore a natural step for us. By working together within a strong cooperative and an enthusiastic team, clear added value is created: we combine volumes, reduce internal competition, and achieve better pricing. At the same time, we are relieved of certain operational burdens and can further professionalize our sales,” says Fa. Gebr. Hoff & Zn.
