The family business in the Noordoostpolder was founded in the 1950s by their grandfather, who moved with his family from Zeeland to the polder. In 1979, their father started the chicory farm, and chicory has been grown here for 45 years now. What started in open fields grew into hydroponics in 1990. In addition to chicory, the company has a strong arable farming division, including table potatoes, seed potatoes, seed onions and sugar beets. Here, chicory cultivation starts with the seed and ends with a fresh head in the shop!
